Hatton takes the Alfred Dunhill Cup 2016! 24 year old, Tyrell Hatton, from High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire swept away the Alfred Dunhill Cup in St Andrews on Sunday 9th October 2106.

It’s his first European title and what a year it has been for Tyrrell!

After taking a three-shot lead into the final round, he finished 23 under par with a score of 66. Sharing second place on 19 under par, were his playing partner Ross Fisher and South African Richard Sterne.

Incredible stuff as Hatton takes the Alfred Dunhill Cup 2016!

Moving up the Ladder

Royal Troon GC hosted the 145th Open Championship this July, which saw Hatton finish joint 5th place, tying with Rory McIlroy and Sergio Garcia.

What Hatton says about taking the Alfred Dunhill Cup 2016…

“I was pretty nervous all day. I started to feel a little bit more comfortable down 14, 15, but I’m just so happy I got over the line.”

“I had a new putter in the bag this week and it worked really well. I’m just so happy. It’s the British Masters next week and I’m looking forward to that. We’ll have a good evening tonight and hopefully I can have a good end to the year aswell.”

“It’s weird, you know, I felt a little bit uncomfortable over the ball at times but my putting this week really helped me out and that’s been key to lifting the trophy this week.”

We can only watch as Tyrrell flies to the top of the leaderboards in the future.
